Palace Hotel, Mount Abu
Due to the extreme weather conditions widespread in the plains of Rajasthan, Mount Abu being Rajasthan’s only hill station was the perfect summer residence for many Royal families who holidayed there to escape the severe heat that engulfed the desert region during the summer months. Bikaner House was the summer residence of the Royal family of Bikaner built by Maharaja Ganga Singh ji of Bikaner in 1893. The Palace hotel as it is now called, was converted in to a hotel in 1962 and is today a classified “Heritage Hotel”.
